Rosie’s uncle Teddy may not have been able to be around all the time, but he was always there when Rosie needed a dose of reality. Unlike her parents he believed that she needed to keep her feet on the ground even though she spent most of her time running charity and social events mingling with people who had their heads stuck in the clouds. When he dies she’s lost. Her friends try to be there for her, but her uncle does the unbelievable and leaves her part of his business. The other half he leaves to his sexy right hand man. He requests that the two of them move into his house for six months and find a way to make things work together, but since all she can do is stare at his ass and find ways to push his buttons Rosie’s not sure if this is going to work out.
Dade Sebastian would do his best to honor his boss’s last wish, but just looking at his niece he knew it wasn't going to be as simple as it sounded like it would be. Then the lawyer throws him a curve ball by announcing he’s not just going to help Rosie learn to run the business. Instead he’s is named as co-owner with the company being split equally between the two of them. Together they’re supposed to make things work, but that’s hard to do when all he wants is for her to stay in the kitchen, or better yet in his bed.
Shit Kickers Stilettos Heiresses In Aprons Book 1 eBook Rita Sawyer
Was expecting something a little bit more fun. With the premise and the idea of heiresses doing things that aren't typical of them seemed like a good idea. However the reality is very different. There was hardly any real conflict for the main characters which made it hard to care. Their chemistry was off and didn't make sense as a result. There weren't any stakes for the characters so there was no point to the story. In addition, the story kept getting lost in the details, I kept skimming. The friends that the next books are going to be about weren't very rounded and again there's a lack of caring for them.Overall, it was just eh. Readable but not enjoyable.

Shit Kickers Stilettos Heiresses In Aprons Book 1 eBook Rita Sawyer Reviews
He has been her uncle's right hand man but also the son he never had. She is his niece, when he dies he only ask that they stay at the ranch for 6 months. But at first they don't realize he was setting them up.
I liked the story, the characters, the plot, but my God, get an editor! Not only were there multiple spelling, wrong words, grammatical and punctuation errors, but the timeline was completely spastic! Specifically, one day, the character would think there was only 8 weeks left till the time limit was up, but literally the next day, she would think 6 weeks! 3 days later, the time "left" was 2 weeks! This drove me crazy! It was a stupid, easily correctable mistake that really ruined the whole story for me.
This was a straightforward romance, and was quite pleasant. It followed typical romance genre formula. I really want the author to learn how to use proper pronouns and not rely on spellcheck. Those changes would take away minor irritation, and elevate the reading experience.
I really enjoyed this story, even through all the errors (grammatical, extra words, sentence structure, comma misuse/abuse).
Ms. Sawyer gave me two leading characters who I really liked and respected and put them in an emotional setting to tug on my heartstrings. The conflict was there, but not over-the-top, which I appreciated. I will say that most of their intimate encounters were just hinted at during the first half of the book, but then were fleshed out (pun intended!) in a couple of steamy scenes later on.
Overall, this was a nice romance that, if not for the constant errors, I would've given it 4 stars.
I think Dade has the hots for Ms. Rosie when we first start the book with the way he acts, "so I can assume since you won't be having my company there's not one special for you right now." He didn't step back when she spun around." Sometimes Dade has a hard time with words, but Rosie knows how to push him to get him to say how he feels, "Dade wasn't going to let it end like this so he grabbed her arm and pulled her back blocking her exit. "I didn't like the way he was trying to get touchy-feely with you, so I wanted to make sure he knew to stay the eff away." He knows how to sweep a girl off her feet with promises, "other than lying in my arms every night I can guarantee hot wild sex at least five nights a week." I really liked this book, I do love me some cowboys.
Rosie and Dade finally meet when Rosie's uncle Teddy dies. Teddy tries to play matchmaker in his will. Rosie and Dade go along with uncle Teddy's plan to run the business for six months together and live on his ranch. Dade figures out that Teddy is trying to play matchmaker, but Rosie has no idea. This was a good book. Rosie has some great friends that are there for her. Dade has seen a lot of heartache in his life and isn't sure that Teddy's plan will work. It was interesting watching these two figure things out.
Rosie' s Uncle Teddy was killed in an accident and on the day of his funeral Rosie and Dade, his assistant, the young man he loved like a son viewed a video he had recorded before his death. Uncle Teddy wanted her and Dade to share his house for six months. Since they both loved Teddy they agreeded. Rosie did not know her Uncle wanted her and Dade to fall in love, get married and have children. They did like and respect each other. Things were going as Uncle Teddy hoped until Rosie discovered Dade knew about Teddy' s hope. She felt Dale had deceived her and had no clue about his feelings for her.
Dade knew he loved Rosie he just didn't know how and when to tell her. Rosie knew she loved Dade but wanted to know how he felt about her before she made her feelings known.
This book was fun to read I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
