Sequel to Condor and the Crown
Condor One Book Six
With their adopted son Jack safe and sound back at the Winfield House, US Ambassador David Windsor and his husband, ex-Secret Service Agent Shane Thompson-Windsor, begin to settle into a routine. Shane’s attention to the security of the US President’s adult son, Airman Darren Wilson, keeps them busy, however. While David and Shane think they have President Victoria Wilson's son under wraps, Darren carries on as carefree as any young man in the arms of a man he’s sure he loves Prince Michael.
Discreet outings in the English countryside and days spent visiting castles fill Darren and Michael’s time, under the ever-present eyes of security, the US ambassador, and Shane. But an incident at a gay nightclub leaves their guards scrambling. What will Darren’s mother think? How will the King react? Darren and Prince Michael’s love affair might be over before it even begins.

Royal Love (Condor One Series Book 6) - edition by John Simpson. Literature & Fiction eBooks @ . Reviews
I enjoyed the concept and the entire series
I was so excited to see that a new bok in the series just came out. In the tradition of those before this was one I could not put down. I love the thought that we could actually have a gay President some day. I also hope this is the star of a new series of books featuring Michael and Darren.
The story was a sweet story. It wasn't particularly well written but it was enjoyable to read. I liked all of the main characters and you would enjoy meeting them in real life. It was a nice supportive family.
I was disappointed in this book. Although it was ok, it was not up to par with the rest of the books in the series. I was used to dealing with some kind of adventure/trial, and that just didn't happen in this book.
Learn what happens when the gay son of the first woman US President falls in love with and marries a prince of the British royal family. The wedding takes place in London. This is the last book in the Condor One series.
Truly enjoy the Condor One series. A fantasy world for the gay population but fun nonetheless. The characters are sexy and "somewhat" believable. Appreciate that there is a story and that the author doesn't throw in a lot of sex. Hope the author keeps going witht he characters and the storyline.
David and Shane become secondary characters in this story. Darren and Michael and explore the relationship between them in this book. Its almost like reminiscing of book 3 of David and Shane's relationship progress. Darren and Michael visit many beautiful places and meet each other's families and get permission to move their relationship further. There is a surprise wedding that is not of this couple, but that doesn't mean they do not reach it for themselves by the end ). Jack and Brandon had a moment at the surprise wedding, that I cant help but notice there could be a possible romance between them.
This is the latest in Simpson's Candor series, relating the story of President David Windsor and those around him. All along I was expecting some terrorist plots, international crisis of epic scale and James Bond style adventures again. Well, this one is mild compared to the previous books, only love and more love. Really quite enjoyable if young love and dynastic intrigue are your thing.
That said, I need to point out that I find the character of Prince Michael was a little too two-dimensional; not enough character building and personality were included. Just a young royal in love with the son of the US president. Is he more than that? What was his background other than his parents killed in car accident?
Another thing is discrepancy in the facts here and there. First, Henry VIII had two, not three, of this wives beheaded at the Tower. Second, at the dinner before the wedding in DC, there were altogether seven of them, not six, at the Cosmos Club. And then there was the title of Darren Wilson as a newly knighted duke. Was he Duke of Sussex or Duke Sutherland? Also, both David and Shane were chastising their son Jack for cursing et al, and yet they were doing exactly that, right in his presence. That sort of bothered me somewhat. Also, Prince Michael -- is he His Royal Highness or just His Highness? There is a difference in terms of protocol. Mr. Simpson seemed to mix the two liberally. And then the secretary Mary -- I thought she was also invited to the DC wedding of the president; and yet apparently she didn't go.
That said, it was nevertheless a total joy to read about those castles in the UK, as if I was there with them, well, mentally anyway. I would love to read the follow-up to this book and to see where these two lovebirds end up in their career and marriage.
Any sequel on Branden and the earl?
